Treating Patients With a Kind and Gentle Approach
Patients will often feel anxious about undergoing treatment, particularly if they have never had skin surgery before. Dr Urwin prides herself on her kind and gentle approach, hopefully to be able put patients at ease and to reduce their worries and fears as much as possible.
Treatment Includes
- Skin lesion diagnosis
- Pre-surgical counselling and informed consent
- Safe and effective skin surgical procedures
- Reliable and accessible aftercare
Important:
If you have a skin lesion which may be a skin cancer, it is important that you see a medical professional (usually your GP) urgently who can advise you on the most appropriate person to see your skin lesion and how quickly it needs to be assessed. NHS guidance for the assessment of lesions which are suspicious of melanoma or squamous cell carcinoma is that patients should be assessed by a specialist dermatologist within 2 weeks.
